Privacy Policy

Privacy Summary
Your photograph is treated as confidential. We use it to provide and improve your personalized Do My Color experience — creating and regenerating your color analysis, producing your report and personalized features, and maintaining, troubleshooting and securing the service. We do not sell your photograph, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it for facial recognition or to determine who you are. Photographs are held in private, access-controlled storage under randomly generated identifiers and are retrieved only through short-lived, authorized links. Access by our personnel is restricted and is limited to circumstances where it is reasonably necessary to operate the service, as described below. You can delete your photograph and analysis at any time.
Do My Color creates a personal color analysis from a photograph you provide. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it.
Information We Collect
- The first name you enter.
- The photograph you upload or capture, so we can provide your personalized color analysis and other personalized Do My Color functionality.
- The color-analysis results we generate for you (personalized palette, Color Profile and guidance).
- Any change requests you send us about your analysis.
- Basic technical and usage information such as an anonymous session ID, page views, approximate country, device type and browser language.
How We Use Your Photo
We may use your photograph to:
- Analyze visible coloring and appearance characteristics that are relevant to color recommendations (such as skin, hair and eye coloring, contrast, value and apparent temperature).
- Create your personalized color recommendations.
- Generate your personalized report, crops and color visualizations.
- Maintain your personalized Do My Color experience so you can return to it.
- Regenerate or improve your results, including reprocessing your existing photo when we improve our analysis technology.
- Provide additional personalized Do My Color functionality.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, secure and improve the service.
Facial Recognition
We analyze visible characteristics in your photograph in order to produce color recommendations. We do not use your photograph for facial recognition, to determine or verify your identity, or to match you against other people or other photographs. We do not build biometric identity templates, face-geometry templates or face embeddings for identification. If face location is used, it is a temporary image-processing step and is not kept as an identity profile.
Selling and Advertising
We do not sell your photograph or your personal information. We do not use your photograph for advertising, ad targeting, retargeting, advertising audiences or data brokerage. We do not publish your photograph or your results publicly. Our product analytics record events such as an analysis being completed or a report being shared, and do not include your photograph or reusable links to it.
Service Providers and AI
We use service providers to operate Do My Color, including cloud hosting, database and file storage providers and AI/model providers. Your photograph is securely transmitted to those AI providers where that is necessary to perform your analysis and generate your imagery and report, so it is processed outside our own systems by them. Using service providers in this way is not a sale of your photograph.
We use these providers under their business/API offerings, and we do not use customer photographs to train or fine-tune Do My Color models. Retention and training practices of those providers are governed by their own terms, and we do not represent that a provider never retains submitted content. If you would like the current list of providers we use, contact us at the address below.
Storage, Security and Access
Photographs, generated images and reports are held in private storage with randomly generated, non-guessable identifiers, and are served only through short-lived, authorized links. Authorization is enforced by our servers and storage layer, not by hiding things in the interface. API keys and AI credentials remain on our servers; your browser never talks to an AI provider directly.
Access to original photographs by our personnel is restricted and is not part of normal customer management. Authorized personnel may access an original photograph in limited circumstances where reasonably necessary — for example to help you with an incorrect or failed analysis, to debug a technical problem, to protect the security of the service, to prevent abuse, to comply with legal obligations, or otherwise to operate the service as described in this policy. Such access is limited to specifically authorized accounts and is recorded together with the reason for it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Retention
We securely retain your photograph so that your personalized Do My Color experience keeps working — so you can return to your results, request revisions, regenerate your analysis, and use personalized features that rely on your existing photo.
Your photograph, and images derived from it, are scheduled for automatic deletion approximately 30 days after your most recent analysis or revision. Each legitimate use of your analysis restarts that window, so an actively used analysis keeps working without you having to upload again. The non-photographic analysis data (palette hex values, Color Profile classification, temperature, contrast and written guidance) may be kept longer so your saved analysis remains available.
We may retain information for longer where reasonably required for security, fraud and abuse prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution or enforcement of our terms.
Deleting Your Photo
On your result page, under “Your Privacy”, choose Delete My Analysis & Photo. After you confirm, we delete your uploaded photograph, the generated visualizations, report images and PDFs, the analysis record, palette records, revision records and the messages tied to it from our active systems.
Deleting your photograph means we can no longer regenerate or improve that analysis, and personalized features that rely on your photo (such as visualizations of clothing or frames on you) will stop working until you upload a new photograph.
You can also email privacy@domycolor.com to request deletion of your photograph or your account. Deletion is subject to the limited retention exceptions described above, and residual copies may persist briefly in routine backups before being overwritten.
Marketing and Public Examples
We do not publish customer photographs or results on our website, social channels, advertising or galleries. If we ever want to feature a customer result, we will ask for separate, explicit permission first, and declining has no effect on your analysis.
Photos of Other People
Only upload a photograph you have the right to submit. If the photograph is of someone else, you must have their permission. That permission covers only the processing needed to provide the personalized color analysis you requested.
Children
Do My Color is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect photographs from them. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you believe a child has submitted a photograph, contact us and we will delete it.

Policy Updates
We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated, and we keep a record of which version applied to each analysis.
